The participant will gain experience with the administration of facial nerve blocks including infraorbital nerve, external nasal nerve, mental nerve, and supramaxillary nerve blocks. Primary cleft lip repair and cleft lip revision for patients over the age of 12 years under straight local anesthesia with or without IV sedation will also be discussed.
Anatomical landmarks, injection techniques, safety precautions, dosages needed, needle sizes and other precautionary measures will be discussed in detail.
