Comprehensive Cleft Care Workshop (CCCW)
Following the success of the 1st Regional Pan-African CCCW in 2024, the 2nd Pan-African Regional CCCW returns to Cape Town, South Africa as a larger-scale edition, expanding both its faculty body and training capacity. This year’s program features an increased number of hands-on simulation labs and specialty workshops, led by top-tier international authorities in cleft and craniofacial care, offering participants a broader, deeper, and more immersive educational experience than ever before.

1. Do I need a visa to enter South Africa?

2. Can I participate virtually in the CCCW workshop?
Yes. The CCCW offers a virtual participation option allowing remote attendees to join live sessions, interact with speakers, and follow the scientific program online.

3. Will there be continuing education credits?
Yes. The CCCW is an accredited educational activity. Attendees will receive AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits, ADA-CERP Accreditation and may also be eligible for CPD points depending on local accreditation regulations.
4. Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes. All participants will receive an official Certificate of Attendance. Additional certificates are provided for hands-on simulation lab participation upon completion of required evaluations.
5. What are the workshop dates and location?
The 2nd Pan-African Regional CCCW will be held November 11–13, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town – Upper Eastside, Cape Town, South Africa.
6. What does the registration include?
General registration is specialty-based and grants access to:
- Morning plenary and specialty didactic sessions
- Keynote lectures and panel discussions
- Two (2) daily coffee breaks and one (1) lunch
Hands-on simulation labs and specialty workshops are optional and require separate registration with an additional fee. These afternoon sessions provide practical, small-group training tailored to each specialty.
7. What is an LMIC and are special rates available?
LMIC stands for Low- and Middle-Income Countries, as classified by the World Bank.
Special discounted registration rates are available for attendees from LMICs to increase access to high-quality cleft care education.
8. Is transportation included?
Transportation is not included. The venue is approximately 15 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. Hotel transfers, Uber, Bolt, and licensed taxis are recommended.
9. What should I bring to simulation labs?
Participants attending surgical simulation labs should bring their own surgical headlights and any specialty-specific equipment indicated in the final program.
10. Will sessions be recorded?
All plenary lectures, panels, and didactic sessions will be recorded and made available to registered attendees for one (1) month after the event.
Hands-on simulation labs and workshops will not be recorded due to the practical and interactive nature of the training.
11. What is the cancellation/refund policy?
To cancel your registration, please contact the CCCW team by email. Refund eligibility and partial refunds depend on the date of cancellation, according to published registration policies.
